It’s only now that summer is receding that I feel I have time to digest and reflect upon all that happened under its – mostly – sunny skies. Between getting married, wandering Greece, writing my book (manuscript almost finished!), our Rainbo stall burning down at Dinerama, a quick trip to France, holding our retreat in Tuscany and racing to Somerset last week to shoot some of my recipes, summer seems to have been moving at a crazy pace. In between all of this was a magical and restorative weekend in the New Forest at RawFest, and I didn’t know how much I needed it until I woke up in our little tent underneath the giant trees, surrounded by nature, a million miles away from frantic city life and the constant noise that comes with it. A deep sense of relaxation and connection to nature enveloped us and we returned to London with different ears and eyes.
From the love-filled plant food to the inspiring series of talks and heart-opening creativity and landscape, the festival was pure high vibration fun, and it was such an honour to join my beautiful soul sister Lani in the opening and closing ceremonies. In between, we foraged samphire and chamomile by the sea, wandered hidden garden trails and soaked up the goodness in every way we could. Huge thanks and love to Ko for making it happen, and more to come as we collide together. Here are our pics. X
