Raw cacao and cayenne brownies


It’s Easter, I want chocolate, and I have a packet of amazing raw cacao from Costa Rica and a hankering for some Mexican spice.

What easier, simpler and more delicious way to bring this all together than with 5 minute raw cayenne and cinnamon brownies?

They’re THE BOMB.

Happy Easter



1 cup pecans

1 cup dates

4 tbsp raw cacao

2 tbsp honey or date syrup

1/4 tsp cinnamon

A generous pinch cayenne

A little sea salt

Blend the pecans and dates into small pieces, then stir or blend in the cacao, spices and honey until the mixture becomes doughey. Add a sprinkle of salt, press into a container, refrigerate for twenty minutes before serving in small bitesize chunks. Keep in the fridge – if not all eaten at once.
