Date, banana and tahini smoothie

Some mornings you just need mega help to jump out of bed and in to the world. For many reasons, including prosecco, today was one of them.

I always down a green smoothie in the morning, it gets the vitamins in and makes me feel great and sustained whatever I’m up to. But hey, it’s always good to shake things up! And today I awoke and instantly desired a date and tahini smoothie that we drank our body weight in back in Costa Rica. It is sweet, thick and full of protein and healthy fats – a super smoothie with big flavour and refreshingly few ingredients.

Makes 2 glasses

2 cups water
8 dates
A small handful soaked almonds
1 ripe banana
1 generous tbsp tahini

Whizz, taste, go!
