Autumn in Essaouira

A few weeks ago, Ben and I ventured to Essouira for a short break, soaking up some autumnal sunshine and last few moments of travel, adventure and alone time before my due date in the new year. We stayed at the beautiful Jardin des Douars hotel, surrounded by joyful choruses of birds nesting in the lime trees, ripe juicy pomegranates hanging temptingly off their branches, a grumpy little tortoise who didn’t want our friendship and all the bright and vibrant flavours of the medina. We also visited a wonderful argan oil cooperative which provides community and employment for local women; you can read about our experience over on Spa Kitchen.

Our faithful Olympus came everywhere with us so I thought I would share some moments here.
